Ida is our favorite waitress from west Seattle and Meridith Jack
was my college art teacher. He and she were sweethearts in their
college days. Now he lives in Houston, she in Seattle and we in Everett.
He was in New Jersey at a conference of sculptors, she to apartment sit for a friend.
We were , of course on our pilgrimage to the 911 site. Her surprise on the phone
when we mentioned we knew her ex boyfriend was quite complete. I think she
believed we were yanking her chain a bit. BUT...
TRUTH IS STRANGER THAN FICTION!!!

Marquee for "Proof" with jennifer Jason Leigh, unfortunately the Broadway streetsign
was cut off. This was shot before we knew we would go to this show. The night shots
when we attended did not come out as well. We sat next to the owner of "Jubitz" a
nightclub in Portland, Oregon, that employs country music bands, including our son in law Joey's.
"It's a small world after all...." Disney's little munchkins are singing in my head.
And while they wouldn't even let me take a picture of the inside of the Kerr Theater,
where "Proof" showed, we were allowed to take pictures of "The Donkey Show" as it went on.
If these seem a bit psychadelic... well that was how the show felt. And the fact you could drink
and dance amoung the preformers, and visa versa, made it feel that way even without halucinations!
